Summer in a Glass

June 20, 2021
Raspberry Lemonade

The taste of summer is a real thing, and nothing captures if for me more than my fresh raspberry lemonade. I’ve been making it for more years than I can count, the secret to it’s awesomeness is a few limes.

1 cup sugar

6 cups water

6 lemons

2 limes

1 pack of raspberries

Heat sugar and 1 cup water until the sugar has completely dissolved (ta-da, you just made simple syrup!) Turn off the heat, add the raspberries and let sit for about 5 minutes. Pour into a pitcher, then add 5 more cups of water.

Juice the lemons and limes, I don’t measure it – just add it to the contents of the pitcher. Taste it, and add additional water until it tastes just right to you. Chill in the fridge.

Since I’m not very patient I usually add a cup of crushed ice instead of additional water so that it cools and dilutes at the same time.

Enjoy!
